Goeran Fiedler, PhD

Board Member

Bio: Goeran is a trained prosthetist and orthotist with 10+ years of clinical experience, including in the orthopedic industry. He holds additional graduate degrees in Clinical Engineering and Health Sciences, and has been a faculty member of the University of Pittsburgh’s Prosthetics & Orthotics Master’s program since 2014. He has served as a faculty advisor for the local API branch since its inception and joined the Board of Directors in 2021. His research interests include the optimization of prescription and fitting of conventional lower limb prosthetic componentry, as well as the adaptation of modern low-cost fabrication and assessment technology for use in P&O.
