Bio: Ryan graduated with his Bachelors in Biomedical Engineering from The Ohio State University in December, 2020. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Ohio State, conducting research on bone tissue engineering and regenerative medicine in Dr. David Dean’s Osteo Engineering Lab. Throughout his undergraduate years at Ohio State, Ryan began to realize the importance of pursuing accessible and equitable treatment across all facets of health care. When he heard about API as a senior undergraduate student, he was immediately excited about how closely their mission aligned with these values. Ryan has been the Market Research Project Advisor with API since the Spring of 2021, serving as a liaison between Communication and Production team projects. Ryan believes market research is a crucial part of the product development process, as a product is only useful if it meets the needs of its users. Recent API market research work has included literature review, commercial analysis, user needs identification, surveys, support group observation, and 1-on-1 user interviews.
